A CHRISTMAS STORY LIVE! – is inspired by the holiday classic feature A Christmas Story and the Tony Award®-nominated Broadway production A Christmas Story: The Musical. The album features music and lyrics by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul – Tony Award® winners for the Broadway musical Dear Evan Hansen, and lyricists of the Academy Award®-winning La La Land song, “City of Stars”. A Christmas Story Live! also contains three brand new songs composed by Pasek & Paul especially for the live musical event, including “Count On Christmas” the opening song performed by Bebe Rexha. This epic live adaptation was filmed on December 17, 2017 at the historic Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank with an all-star cast including: Maya Rudolph (“Saturday Night Live,” Bridesmaids), Matthew Broderick (How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying, The Producers), Jane Krakowski (“Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt,” “30 Rock”), Chris Diamantopoulos (“Good Girls Revolt,” “Silicon Valley,” “Episodes”), Ana Gasteyer (“Saturday Night Live”), and newcomer Andy Walken as “Ralphie”.
